Music sty
les in the park this year will include jazz\, bluegrass\, Irish\, Latin-in
fluenced\, R&B\, New Orleans\, folk\, opera and points in between.
\n
\nThe 2023 season marks the 25th anniversary of Lake P
ark Friends’ Musical Mondays series\, which launched in 1998. The series r
evived the tradition of free concerts in Lake Park that began after the pa
rk opened in the late 1800s.
\n
\nAll performances will be he
ld at the Lake Park Summer Stage\, near the park playground. Shows are fre
e of charge.
\n
\nLake Park Friends presents concerts in coop
eration with Milwaukee County Parks and with generous support from the Col
es Family Foundation\, Potawatomi Hotel & Casino\, 88Nine\, WMSE Radio 91.
7FM\, OnMilwaukee and member volunteers.

Mondays
\nShows are 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. The series is g
eared for music lovers of all ages and features a wide range of musical ge
nres.
\n\n- July 17: Feufollet. Young\, vibrant Southwest L
ouisiana band starts with Cajun\, honky-tonk\, and string-band music and b
lasts off from there.
\n- July 24: Jamie Breiwick Quintet (Featuring
Abigail Riccards). Songs from the Great American Songbook brought to life
by hard-swinging A-list Milwaukee jazz musicians and a featured vocalist.
\n- July 31: Toty Ramos Sextet. Playing jazz with a Latin tinge\, t
he Milwaukee guitarist / arranger’s new group continues where his storied
La Chazz ensemble left off.
\n- Aug. 7: R&B Cadets. Revered Milwauke
e super group featuring headliners Paul Cebar\, Robin Pluer\, John Sieger
and Juli Wood playing a dance-inducing blend of originals and obscure cove
rs.
\n- Aug. 14: JigJam. Multi-award-winning quintet from the heart
of the Irish midlands blending the best of traditional Irish music with bl
uegrass and Americana.
\n- Aug. 21: Bon Bon Vivant. Genre-bending Ne
w Orleans band blending singer-songwriter\, jazz-inspiration\, Americana a
nd up-tempo indie dance rock that pays homage to the bawdy New Orleans sou
nd.
\n- Aug. 28: Robbie Fulks. Grammy-nominated performer and songwr
iter whose career spans Americana\, folk\, rock and more\, on the road wit
h a new album\, “Bluegrass Vacation.”
