MELT 3 Year Anninversary Show: STAGEDIVER, STUNT ROCK, ADOPTAHIGHWAY, HORSEFORCE, BISHOP, DONNY & THE ROBOT, THE DEMIX, MORIOKUN, EARLY 1980S MOVIE WHERE BOY TEEN COMMITS SUICIDE IN ANXIETY FILL
Sonically Stagediver’s music could be described as a lawsuit-worthy, wall of broken genres. Technically it could be described as a how-to in lo-fi music programming. No matter where you stand, there’s no denying II’s ambitious goal of carving a new niche. All genres are equally dissected/resented here.
STUNT ROCK / EARLY 1980S MOVIE WHERE BOY TEEN COMMITS SUICIDE IN ANXIETY FILLED HOUSE
Stunt Rock has a long history in experimental electronic music with releases on the legendary Addict Records label including The REGRET Instruction Manual and most recently What Is This Life? We couldn’t be happier to have him out for this rare live performance.
Ben H. Force says to Paul Demix: “I want to play a 15 minute BREAKCORE set at MELT….” And here we are. HORSE FORCE uses his magical powers and superior knowledge of technology to bring peace among the human race. His music is known to cause nausea, vomiting, seizures, deafness, and explosions.
adoptahighway is the moniker of classically trained music producer Barry Paul Clark. While drawing inspiration from romantic era to minimalist composers, Clark also gathers inspiration from patterns of thought and memory, physical and non-physical relationships, and using objects to represent an idea or emotion, which is how the moniker of adoptahighway was chosen. Using controllers, performance software and live vocals, his stage presence is energetic, emotive, engaging and honest.
Bishop produces and DJs a variety of styles, from Down Tempo to Ragga Break Core, Drum n Bass to Trip Hop. Known for DJ and VJ performances at Rave classics as Drop Bass Network’s EVEN FUTHUR and NEW YEARS, Direct Drive’s D-DAY, and New York’s KONKRETE JUNGLE and most recently NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS.
DONNY & THE ROBOT
Pulling influences from lo-fi, IDM, dub, and psychedelia, Ghostkid currently loves balancing an organic and melodic feel over a crunchy, beat-heavy backdrop and spacious atmosphere.
Moriokun uses modded GameBoys as Synths and custom game software called LSDJ to compose his songs.
MELT’s creator and caretaker, The Demix’s sound could be described as apocalyptic, cinematic, genre-defiant, darkly entertaining ear sex.
