solasSolas, recognized as the quintessential Irish-American band, presents Shamrock City, a multimedia show using original songs, music, photos and narrative to tap into the rough-and-tumble story of one immigrant’s Irish experience in America. The audience travels along on a remarkable journey inspired by bandleader Seamus Eagan’s great-great uncle Michael Con¬way, who settled in Butte, Montana, in the early 1900s.

Gaelic for “light,” Solas burst onto the music scene in the mid-1990s. The incandescent ensemble found contemporary relevance in timeless tradi¬tions through fresh and unexpected arrangements of age-old tunes, compelling topical originals, and unparalleled musicianship. Often drawn to musical social commentary, the band’s Shamrock City depicts universal themes of displacement, the struggle for dignity, and the resilience of the human spirit. It has been called the band’s most ambitious project to date.
