February 5, 2015–May 3, 2015
VISION. INNOVATION. POWER.
Walk amid stunning gowns and one-of-a-kind ensembles by haute couture designers such as Christian Dior, Patrick Kelly, and Vivienne Westwood in this multisensory re-creation of the pioneering fashion fair that helped redefine beauty, style, and empowerment for African American women everywhere. Inspiring Beauty is the first exhibition to explore the Ebony Fashion Fair, which traveled worldwide, including here in Milwaukee, and its director-producer Eunice W. Johnson, through fifty years of vision, innovation, and power.
