The Pablove Benefit Concert returns to Turner Hall Ballroom for the sixth year
and arguably it’s most exciting line up to date. This year is highlighted by
Shirley Manson of Garbage coming together for one night only with Matt
Walker of Morrissey / Smashing Pumpkins and Chris Connelly of Rev Co /
Ministry to form the Sons of the Silent Age: Playing the music of David
Bowie.
The bill continues with an all-star cast of Milwaukee musicians called Pleased
To Meet Me, a Replacements tribute and The Salford Lads Club, a
Morrissey / Smiths tribute. The night’s lineup also includes GGOOLLDD and
Brett Newski, two up and coming acts Milwaukee acts. All proceeds directly
benefit The Pablove Foundation’s mission to fund pediatric cancer research and
provide programs like their Pablove Shutterbugs photography program for
children living with cancer.
The mission of The Pablove Foundation is to invest in underfunded, cuttingedge
pediatric cancer research, inspire cancer families through education, and
improve the lives of children living with cancer through the arts. The Pablove
Foundation is named after Pablo Thrailkill Castelaz, the son of Jo Ann Thrailkill
and Milwaukee native Jeff Castelaz, and the little brother of Grady
Gallagher. Pablo was six years old when he lost his valiant yearlong battle with
bilateral Wilms Tumor, a rare form of childhood cancer. With the love of a strong
community, The Pablove Foundation’s vision was forged: helping kids with
cancer live—a love-filled life today, and a cancer-free life tomorrow. The
Pablove Foundation’s scientific advisory committee is comprised of the brightest
minds in the pediatric cancer field, including doctors and researchers from
Harvard, Duke, University of Michigan, USC, City of Hope and others.
