“Set and Reset,” the beloved work of post-modern dance by Trisha Brown, will be restaged for UWM’s annual Winterdances event at the Mainstage Theatre Feb 5-8, 2015.

The performance of “Set and Reset/Reset” is the focal point of the UWM Department of Dance’s current research project entitled Brown: Lineage and Process, a year-long exploration of Brown’s creative ideas. The project is partially funded by a National Endowment for the Arts “Art Works” award.

The restaging, directed by Melinda Myers (former company member of Trisha Brown Dance Company), features student dancers and a significant visual art collaboration with UWM Department of Art and Design Professor Leslie Vansen. The event’s program also includes choreographic works by UWM Dance Faculty Simone Ferro, Luc Vanier and Darci Wutz.

Pre-show talks with Winterdances collaborators will be held Friday, Feb 6 and Saturday, Feb 7 at 6:45pm at the Mainstage Theatre.
