In continuation with new, exciting news about local music, Milwaukee’s own the Goodnight Loving just got some nice press at The Tripwire, the web site premiering the band’s new single “The Pan” from their forthcoming release The Goodnight Loving Supper Club, slated for a late July release. The band recently gave WMSE two pieces of vinyl: a 7″ (“Nothing Conquers Us”/”Scary Bad”) on Dirtnap Records and their Arcobaleno 12″ EP on Wild Honey Records. We’ll be excited to get the new stuff into our library, too, as GNL is a station favorite. Seems like those outside Milwaukee are catching on even moreso. Tripwire writes, “in listening to ”The Pan”, first mpfree from The Goodnight Loving Supper Club, one quickly gets the sense (like fellow Milwaukee-ans Jaill) these guys wouldn’t just rule at home in the Midwest—they’d sound perfect on the coasts, too.” Appropriately, the band is heading off on a NxExS, etc. tour starting in June and are also taking on the West Coast and beyond after celebrating Milwaukee’s own (and GNL’s label home) Dusty Medical Records 5th Anniversary Party in their hometown on June 26th. To gear up for all the excitement to come this summer, take a listen to “The Pan” by clicking the photo, above.
