Castle Thunder is the brainchild of Milwaukee songwriter Cory Gorman. The now-quintet has been subject to several comings and goings of bandmates though out its career; the current line up, and best to date, displays heft of maturity and a more refined soundscape. Filling out the line up is Ryan Rupprecht on keys, Evan McAllister on guitar, Nick Westfahl on bass, and Bryan Dorn on drums. Teetering on the edge of progressive rock with spacious synth textures akin to groups such as Radiohead, Castle Thunder isn’t afraid to display their influences, but has been able to capture their unique sound that stakes a claim on the Milwaukee music scene.
