A Trip to Bandcamp With: The Sleepwalkers

POSTED:: April 17, 2014

FILED UNDER:: General

Now officially “The Sleepwalkers” (dropping the band founder, Ian Olvera’s name), the Fox Cities-bred quartet takes a renewed collective breath and issues forth a new exercise in upbeat, harmonic, blue-hued pop-twang. The band has added new members with the name-drop and even with all this, the newest material on Lost My Mind In Stereo isn’t too much a far cry from their debut release The Reckless Kind [2010]. Fans of power pop and heartland styles will find a lot to revel in, The Sleepwalkers pulling from the corners of local compatriots, Midnight Reruns and Trapper Schoepp & the Shades and nationals like Paul Collins and Rhett Miller. Take a listen to the album in full by clicking the image or catch the live experience at their upcoming album release show, this Saturday at Linneman’s.

The Sleepwalkers play at 9 p.m. Saturday, Linneman’s Riverwest Inn, 1001 E. Locust St., with the Traveling Suitcase,Ugly Brothers and Mooner.
