WMSE’s One-Day Pre-Drive Push is Rockin’. Literally.

There are two things you need to know about today:
WMSE is in the middle of our one-day, pre-drive push. RIGHT NOW! This is where all you supporters of community-powered, independent radio step in and pitch us a little help before our official Fall pledge drive hits. Help shorten the length of the drive in the easiest and coolest way possible: picking up your very own copy of the 2010 WMSE wall calendar, Milwaukee’s Blank Generation, featuring photographs of Milwaukee’s old-school punk and New Wave scene by local photographer, Stanley Ryan Jones.
The second item of business is a huge party to celebrate the release of said calendar and the amazing said photos of Jones. Tonight, at Transfer Pizzeria & Cafe (101 W. Mitchell Street) at 9 p.m. Radio Drill Time will be spinning punk and New Wave from the Ramones, Iggy Pop, The Haskels and more, Jones’ prints will be on display, and the photographer, himself will be live and present. Pick up a copy of the calendar and talk to Jones…heck, have him sign your cally for you! See you all there!
